It’s interesting, and very informative, but not one hundred percent complete. The bigger issue than the direct tranching was the use of default swaps, there are other functions like collateral agreements that are not covered. Just remember that the financial system is just like any other business and has to have trustworthy and honest people at the healm. If this isn't the case no form of regulation will ever work because the guys at to top just simply lie about how their assets are valued etc.
